Air Volume Calculations

What you need:

Actual weight and dimensions, either as a whole or per carton.

Calculation:

Length in centimeters x Height in centimeters x Width in centimeters = Cubic Centimeters

Centimeters Cubed / 6000 = volume weight in kilos

Centimeters Cubed / 2715 = volume weight in pounds

Length in inches x Height in inches x Width in inches = Cubic Inches

Inches Cubed / 366 = volume weight in kilos

Inches Cubed / 166 = volume weight in pounds

Conclusion:

Airlines will charge according to actual weight or chargeable weight based on whichever is greater.
